Furnace and flue pipe in a Commack homeDraft inducer motor inside the furnace

What we did

The homeowner reported loud fan noise from the heating and cooling system. We traced it to the draft inducer motor: its bushing was dry and the motor was vibrating. We tightened it down, and the noise stopped.

The tape on the flue pipe had failed and there were small holes, so we resealed it. We also did a heating tune-up and cleaned the flame sensor and igniter.

The result

The noise was gone. We advised the homeowner that if it returns, the draft motor should be replaced. Job completed October 6, 2026.
