HVAC Service in Farmingdale
The closest Nassau town to our shop, about a straight run west on Route 109 or Conklin Street. Farmingdale mixes 1920s village homes with compact oil-fired hot-water systems, post-war ranches with shallow attics, and commercial buildings along the Route 110 corridor. Wall-hung combi boilers, oil-to-gas conversions and ductless cooling for homes without ducts are the jobs we do most here.

Plainview is largely 1950s and 60s splits, ranches and expanded capes, many with original ductwork running through crawlspaces and attics that was sized for much smaller cooling loads. We see a lot of short-cycling, undersized returns and second-floor additions the central system was never designed for, and we often pair a right-sized central replacement with a ductless head for the room the ducts cannot reach.

Our 15-Mile Service Radius
Our service area is a 15-mile radius around our shop at 60 S 2nd St, Unit V in Deer Park. Because Deer Park sits close to the county line, that radius reaches well into eastern Nassau: Farmingdale and Old Bethpage are only about six or seven miles away, Plainview, Bethpage and Massapequa Park eight or nine, and Syosset, Levittown, Hicksville and Seaford around ten. The western edge of the radius runs roughly through Jericho, Wantagh, Bellmore, East Meadow and North Merrick.
We keep to that radius so the technicians who answer your call are close enough to return quickly for follow-up work and parts, and so the same people learn the local building departments and housing. Communities further west, such as Westbury, Merrick, Hempstead, Freeport and anything in Queens or the rest of New York City, are outside our service area.
Eastern Nassau housing is largely post-war: the original Levitt capes and ranches built on slabs with radiant heat, the capes and ranches of Hicksville, Bethpage and Plainview, and the high ranches and splits of the Massapequas and Seaford. Many of these homes were never designed for central air, which is why ductless mini-splits, careful duct redesign and properly sized replacements are such a large part of our Nassau work. Along the South Shore canals in Massapequa and Massapequa Park, salt air and flood-zone rules shape where outdoor equipment can go. North of the Long Island Expressway, the larger colonials and splits of Syosset, Woodbury and Jericho more often have two-zone systems, finished basements and attic air handlers that need balancing and humidity control.

Do I need a permit for HVAC work in the Town of Oyster Bay?
Most new heating and cooling installations need a permit, and incorporated villages such as Farmingdale and Massapequa Park have their own building departments separate from the Town of Oyster Bay. K2 does not file town permits, so confirm the requirements with the right building department before your installation is scheduled.
Can a ductless system cool an original Levittown or Bethpage cape?
Yes, and it is one of the most common ways to do it. These homes often have no ductwork or only short runs, and the expanded dormers upstairs overheat in summer. A multi-zone mini-split with a head in each upstairs room, or a single-zone unit for one problem space, adds cooling and efficient heat without building duct chases.
