What we did
The homeowner supplied the new cooling equipment: an attic air handler and a Goodman condenser. We installed both, replaced the refrigerant line set, modified the return duct, and moved the outdoor condenser to a new location. The install ran over two days, inside first and then outside.
For start-up, we ran new five-wire thermostat cable from the thermostat to the air handler and on to the outdoor condenser, since the system will not run without it.
The result
The new system was wired and started up, and the job was closed out as complete on October 25, 2026.
